Die Die einzigartige Erfolgsgeschichte von Thonet begann mit der Arbeit des Tischlermeisters Michael Thonet (1796-1871), die den Übergang von der manuellen Möbelfertigung zur industriellen Fertigung begründete. Der Durchbruch zur industriellen Produktion gelang Michael Thonet 1859 in Wien mit dem Stuhl Nr.14, später „Wiener Kaffeehausstuhl“ genannt, bei dem die innovative Technik des Biegens von massivem Buchenholz zum Einsatz kam. Der Stuhl Nr. 14 ebnete Thonet den Weg zu einem Weltunternehmen, und zahlreiche erfolgreiche Bugholz-Designs folgten. Die Produktion von Thonet erreichte 1912 ihren Höhepunkt: In diesem Jahr wurden zwei Millionen Einheiten produziert und weltweit verkauft. 

Das Familienunternehmen hat seinen Sitz im nordhessischen Frankenberg. Heute werden hier alle Bugholz- und Stahlrohr-Klassiker sowie die zeitgenössischen Kollektionen in einem Werk mit modernsten Produktionsanlagen und erfahrenen Mitarbeitern produziert. Thonet entwickelt auch heute noch innovative Produkte, die sich durch hochwertige Materialien und zeitlose Formensprache auszeichnen und dabei stets auf Nachhaltigkeit und Langlebigkeit achten.

Der Stuhl besteht aus einem pulverbeschichteten Stahlgestell, geöltem Nussbaumholz Armlehnen  oder schwarz gebeizte Armlehnen aus Buchenholz und genähter Stoff.

Orders will not be processed until you have confirmed that you accept the tariff rates and give consent for the order to be shipped.

Our returns policy lasts for 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase has been delivered, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

Goods / Returns must be received to Dyke & Dean within 14 days of being delivered to you. If Goods / Returns are received after this we will not issue a refund. Notification to our office of your return via telephone, email, fax and or letter within 14 days does not mean a refund will be given. A refund will only be reviewed if the Goods / Returns are received within 14 days to our possession.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Customers are responsible for the delivery costs of returning the goods. 

Bespoke/Made to order products, cut lengths of fabric cable under 100m and Outlet items are non-returnable.
